5 of 5 Tim Tim Buys Tom Tom Monday, December 22, 2008 Tim from Clinton
This thing is awesome. I can't wait to take a long trip to use it. What a great buy. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 TomTom One Monday, December 15, 2008 Jean G. from McArthur, Ohio
I like the security of having the TomTom in the car when traveling. In the Appalachian area where I live, however, it would take me over terrain that I wouldn't normally travel. Overall, it is a great product. Everyone should have one. Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 battery Sunday, December 14, 2008 A Customer from g
The battery does not hold the charge well. If going on a trip of any length, be very sure to use the car charger included. Only way to charge it outside the car is with the usb port of the computer, so it could be hard to charge on a trip. It has to be constantly charging, so the walking feature to get around is almost useless. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great value, fun toy Sunday, December 14, 2008 A Customer from Centennial, CO
What a great device. I calculates some routes that are not the best, and needed to be updated, but really works well. Seems to be more sensitive to receiving the satellite signals than others I have played with (just my opinion, I did not perform any strict laboratory or comparative testing). For you guys that have a navigator/co-pilot that is always telling you where to go,.. here is one you can turn off! Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 $80 GPS is well worth it - great GPS Wednesday, December 10, 2008 A Customer from Lomita, California
For $80, yes it is worth that money. It does give you precise direction where you are going here in Southern California. I wish they come with Wall Charge (AC/DC charger) - currnetly they have only car charger only. Its good thing that I can use my camera charger to charge it with same adapter. With this price, I can't argue more and I love it. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Balance between ease of use and functionalit Wednesday, December 10, 2008 SN from Ames, Iowa
This product was so easy, I never opened the owners manual. I am a guy, but I think not doing that for this product was well warranted. I used a Garmin of around the same value or more, and the only technological advantage that had was their suction cup (which turned out to be an easy fix for the Tom Tom). The frequent updates on turning points was very helpful, especially if one is driving in NY or DC there are many fast turning lanes and roads and Tom Tom gives an idea as to the next turn. The free access to map updates is great. The small size and long battery life makes it great as a hand held for walking too. Satellite connections are also great. A great product especially for the value here. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Product Can't Beat the Price Wednesday, December 10, 2008 A Customer from Georgia
This GPS works like a charm. It's much easier to use then my Garmin. It brings up your frequently used cities. Lets you customize your favorites. It even allows you to up date the maps for free. I wish I had chosen one with a bigger screen but that would have cost more. All in All its a great product. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Great Gadget Wednesday, December 10, 2008 Douglas from Franklin, Ohio
While not the most sophisticated GPS unit on the market, this little guy does a great job, is amazingly accurate (it puts me into my favorite parking spot at work repeatedly), useful (introduced me to a number of useful shortcuts I didn't know about), and easy to use (one trip was all it took to become proficient with it). I am especially enamoured with its ability to quickly come up with new routings whenever one turns away from what it planned for you-for example, when an accident closed the road ahead of me, I turned onto a side street and it immediately rerouted us deftly around the accident. Its voice cues are surprisingly accurate and handy. An amazing creation by the folks that created the original palm pilot. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 great value, great driving tool --3rd edition ONE Tuesday, December 02, 2008 Pete from Delray Beach , FL.
I work in the A/C service field. The unit is a real time saver. It works great to find people's homes for me. So far I have experienced no problems. I uploaded all the new maps from tom tom's site for free. Everything about the unit is working perfect even though it is a refurb. I would highly reccommend this to anyone not wishing to overpay for a GPS. Warranty papers said it is covered for a year. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Awesome... A must have for travelers.. Monday, December 01, 2008 JR from Miami
It's amazing and a must have for everyone...
I love the TomTom more than the Garmin C330 that I had. Locks onto the satellite right away vs the Garmin would take 5 min to do this...
PLus it is small and easy to carry. Was this review helpful?

4 of 5 Great Value Wednesday, November 12, 2008 Harvey Kunz from Omaha,NE
I bought this refurbished navigator after using my friends Tom Tom when I visited him in Scottsdale,Arizona. This pocket-sized device is easily transported and accommodates any vehicle. My decision to purchase the device was its voice directions, allowing me to keep my eyes on the road in traffic while navigating unfamiliar roads. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 An Amazing Value Tuesday, November 11, 2008 Rick from Easthampton, MA
Pros:
GPS units with comparable features are often in the $200-250 range. You can update the maps for it online. I took this with me on my recent trip to CO and it worked 100%. A real lifesaver.
Cons:
The battery seems to die so quickly as to be unusable. I'm not sure if that is because this is a reconditioned unit or not. It still works great when plugged in. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Worth The Cost Tuesday, November 11, 2008 Tom from Battle Creek, Michigan
This is my first time buying a GPS, but I really enjoy using it. My family and I travel quite a bit and getting to the destinations on time and correctly is a major plus! I also like being able to enter in my own favorite places and updating the unit is as simple as connecting it to the computer and clicking a couple of buttons. Now I know why the TomTom brand is so highly recommended. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 As good as it gets Tuesday, November 11, 2008 Dwayne from Baltimore, Maryland
I ordered the unit on a Wednesday night picked the free shipping and handling and it was still there on Friday. It works as expected for $50 less than I found it anywhere else. Simply put, so far I haven't gotten lost. I've had it for two weeks and everything works fine. I read other pot on here and would like the correct one or two of them, first if you go into the menu you can view the map and you can zoom out on the zoomed in map, I guess people just need to read directions it was pretty straightforward to me so I still have the manual in its sealed bag.(I think it is sealed, actually I think I threw it away) There have been a few errors on some of the directions but they were on small back roads and if you looked at the screen and didn't just listen to the voice common sense made the proper route easy to follow. (An example on one road it said to make a left and 300 yards make a right. When you made the left you came to a stop sign 50 yards later and this was the end of this road, you could make a right or left but a right was actually a private roadway for a marina and other businesses it wasn't truly a "road" so you had to make a left to actually be on a public road and about 250 yards later you made the first right. Just common sense and paying attention to the screen and your surroundings. It showed the right route on the screen, it just didn't show the service road to the right.) Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Excellent value and good support Friday, November 07, 2008 Moose from Auburn, WA
Very easy to use out of the box. I had very good customer support from Tom Tom. I had a problem while trying to update maps. It ended up having the device formatted while working with customer support. I worked with them and got the latest program and maps and it has worked very well since. Rebate came also. If we didn't get it going they were going to have me send it in. Worked well in Canada also. On a long trip be sure to review the route. It sometimes picks routes that are not what you would expect if you know the area. Overall is very good. Battery life is only 2hrs if you want to use it in walk around mode. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Love this GPS Tuesday, October 21, 2008 Scott from Spring Hill, FL
As I am a service technician, I have used several GPS's. What got me interested in the tomtom is when I had a PDA with the software on it. I got one of these a while ago for over $150 and love it so much, I ordered this one for my wifr for Christmas. It's very easy to use and has been reasonably accurate considering the area I live in seems to constantly change. That's okay also, because with mapshare you can edit your maps, or download other people's edits. This is a super value at this price. Was this review helpful?
